About Us

FROM INSIGHT TO IMPACT

Established in 2023 as part of the College of Liberal Arts of Shanghai University, China, the Research Centre for Health and Wellbeing aspires to collaborate with higher education institutes in China and globally as well as United Nations agencies. The Research Centre aims to combine ancient wisdoms with contemporary knowledge to foster new understandings and refreshed perspectives of key issues related to global health, social healing, and wellbeing of the Earth, and allow those understandings to shape future policy and practice. The Research Centre attempts to bring an all-inclusive worldview to understand the contemporary challenges to global health, social healing, and wellbeing of the Earth. In this attempt, the Research Centre for Health and Wellbeing focus on activities and seek solutions that are crucial to the achievement of all 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), as defined by the United Nations. Although, the SDG number 3 focuses on Good Health and Wellbeing, the Research Centre deeply understands that the global health, social healing, and wellbeing of the Earth is strongly connected to all the SDGs, and one goal cannot be achieved without achieving them all.
